From Social Isolation to Shared Tables: Why We’re Hosting Purposeful Plates

Social101 Song Hotel Community Connection

At OneAnother, everything we do comes back to one simple belief. People need people.

In a world that feels increasingly disconnected, we’re always looking for ways to bring people together in real life, not just online.

That’s why we’re partnering with Song Hotel and Social101 to host Purposeful Plates, an intimate dining experience designed to create space for connection.

Taking place on Wednesday 29 April at Song Kitchen in Sydney, this is not a traditional event. It’s a shared table.

A place where conversation happens naturally, where people feel comfortable showing up as they are, and where meaningful connections can form.

Hosted within Song Hotel, Australia’s first profit-for-purpose hotel, the evening also contributes directly to the work of YWCA Australia, supporting women and gender-diverse people across the country.

Guests will enjoy a three-course dinner, wines and non-alcoholic options, alongside light speaker moments from individuals working across community, hospitality and purpose-led initiatives.

But more than anything, this is about creating a space where people feel less alone.

Because connection doesn’t happen through algorithms.
It happens across a table.
